About Me

After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Accounting and earning an MBA from the University of Central Florida, I spent four years with Ernst & Young auditing large and small businesses.  This was the perfect foundation for my move into the world of Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management and I did just that at J.P. Morgan Chase for the next 13 years. As a Vice President, I had responsibility for a variety compliance and risk management functions in the Retail Financial Services area. I researched regulations and business requirements, wrote policies and procedures, created (and presented) training materials, prepared presentations to senior management, contributed comments to oversight agencies on proposed rules, responded to customer complaints about sensitive matters, interacted and drafted responses to questions from regulatory agencies, served as editor of an internal newsletter, prepared new hire procedures and a related web site and much, much more!

After a rewarding career with JPMC, I decided to try something new. My husband and I satisfied our entrepreneurial spirits by opening a meal assembly business, a business concept designed to help busy families eat great dinners together. My Delicious Dinners, Inc. was the very first establishment in the Central Florida area at the time. This venture was not a franchise. Instead, everything was developed from the ground up...the procedures, the web site, the marketing materials...even the recipes. The business operated for almost 4 years and grew to 2 locations.

I continue to help others through freelance writing and project consulting. I have published over 75 articles on topics relating to project management, business development, career advancement and personal effectiveness. In addition to writing about business, I provide writing services to businesses. Check out the Services page to see the different ways I can help you.
